A tracker, not a teacher.
TrackMyPrep exists because the hardest part of preparing for three exams at once is not the studying. It is knowing where you are.
The problem we set out to fix
Most aspirants in India do not prepare for one exam. They prepare for three or four in a cycle: a State PSC alongside UPSC, SSC CGL alongside a bank PO, a TET alongside a KVS post. Each has its own notification, its own calendar, its own fee window, and a syllabus that overlaps the others by a third or more.
The teaching side of this is well served. Coaching institutes, YouTube channels and content apps explain the material well and cheaply. What nobody keeps is the record: which topics you have genuinely finished, which of your exams that topic counts for, and which deadline is closest. That record lives in a notebook, a spreadsheet, or nowhere, and it is the thing that fails people.
What TrackMyPrep does
It keeps that record, for every government exam in the country, and it keeps it honestly. A topic is not done until you pass a short check on it. A deadline is not something you find out about from a friend. Progress on a shared subject shows up on every exam that tests it. On top of that sit three tools that used to need a mentor: an AI study assistant that knows these exams, a side-by-side comparison of any two, and an eligibility check against your own profile.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not teach. There are no video lectures, no notes, no test series. Building those would make us one more content app, and there are enough good ones. Keep studying from whatever works for you; the tracker sits alongside it.
How the exam data is kept right
Every exam is entered from the official notification of its conducting body and checked against corrigenda as they come out. Dates the body has not announced are shown as expected and labelled as such. If you spot something wrong, or an exam we have missed, tell us. Corrections are made the same week.
Who makes it
TrackMyPrep is independent. It is not owned by a coaching institute, a publisher or a test-series company, which is why it can list every exam without favouring any. It is built by a small team who have sat these exams themselves and wanted the tool they did not have.
Principles
- Every exam. Central and state, officer and constable, merit based and written. If a government notification exists, it belongs in the list.
- Honest numbers. The percentage in front of you should be true. That is why the tick comes after a check.
- Cheap. Less than a month of coaching for a year of tracking, and a free plan that never expires.
- Yours. Your number is for sign-in and reminders. Your data is never sold. Delete your account from inside the app whenever you like.
